Our three children enjoy Dr. Nickravesh and her wonderful staff. The office is bright and fun and the tvs on the ceilings are a huge perk. We've had fillings, sealants, extractions, x-rays and of course, Cleaning's. All went smoothly! We are very happy patients!

Update: had our 2nd visit attempt with the office. They are friendly but I do not recommend them if you need any special services outside of the general check ups. They are not good at listening to your child's needs.
Initial visit: The overall office is great, friendly and knowledgeable. The staff was very detailed on both services that needed to be done and what the insurance impact would be. We will be back for our cleanings and check ups. However my son had to get some work done with the oral sedation and it didn't go as well as I hoped it would. I didn't feel as though they were truly making him as comfortable as they could because they expected him to not remember anything. Even if they think he will not remember doesn't mean they shouldn't try and make him as comfortable as possible. They kept insisting to me that he was numb, sedated and unresponsive but he was responsive and inquisitive to me. When I talked with him he explained how he was feeling and asked me questions along with responding to my questions so he was not as sedated as they thought. Also, he was fully capable of drinking water out of a cup. I know from personal experience that when my mouth is numb only on one side I have a hard time taking a drink of water. He was suppose to be numb on both sides for work to be done and was still able to drink water fine. That gave me the impression that he was not really sedated or numbed the way they insisted he was. When I pointed it out they did give him more numbing for the 2nd half of the work. When we attempted the work his mouth was building up with saliva and it felt to me as if he was choking and needed it sucked out. I asked the nurse to suck it out and she only argued with me that he was fine. He was crying uncontrollably and I asked them to remove it to try and help him be a little more comfortable and they still argued with me that he is going to uncomfortable. I understand they do this all the time and they are the professionals but I am the mom and know my child better than they do. I don't think any doctor or nurse should ever argue with a mom about how there child is because no doctor knows a child better then mom does. If they want the work to go smoothly they need to make sure they are listening to the patient and/or patients parent to ensure that the service is the best experience it can be.

Helpful and understanding staff, very pleasant atmosphere. Dr. Nickravesh and staff all willing to explain the way through treatment and in terms we can understand.

I thought she was a wonderful dentist but I was very very wrong. I cannot believe that her and the anesthesia woman Cheryl Dang are even allowed to practice on children. Ms. Dang killed a 3 year old child in July of 2016 and has been ousted by the bay area community. Now she works side by side with Dr. Nickravesh. Dr. Nickravesh is a nice person and very friendly but if your kid needs more than an average cleaning DO NOT CHOOSE HER. My son had an abscessed on his gums needed a root canal. She totally botched the job and the tooth ended up needing to be removed and he was never given meds for the infection. We had to take him to a REAL doctor who was surprised that the dentist would not prescribe anything and shocked about the incident.

I never imagined that taking my 2 year olds to the dentist would be so pleasant. Every member of the team was so friendly and welcoming.
We knew one of our boys would need a little extra procedure and they were able to fit him in with no problems.
I was amazed with how comfortable they were able to make my little guy. Not a single tear was shed and the atmosphere was so calm. As a parent who has watched my older child cry big, sobbing tears through dental work I am so very thankful to have been referred to this office.
