I'd give it no stars if I could. They serve tortilla chips on a styrofoam plate. The chips aren't even as good as the kind you'd buy at the store. The tacos were blah. I like a good traditional taco (cilantro and onion) but these were some of the worst tacos I've ever had. The rice was dry and flavorless. Way overpriced for the quality.

Used to go here all the time, but hadn't gone in a while. Suggested this place to a co-worker while he was in town for business (we're both from out of town). He got violently ill. Didn't think it was Chubby's until today. I came to town, got Chubby's, and now I'm at home puking my guts out. Come to think of it, I'm not sure the salsa bar is kept cold. I have my puke bucket in arms reach as I write this review. It sucks, but there's no way we both come to Raleigh at separate times, eat Chubby's, end up sick, and it be a coincidence.

This use to be one of my favorite spots. I don't know if it's under new management or what but it has really changed.☹️ Prices have increased a bit but quality has drop horrifically. You pay $4 for a hard salty over cooked shrimp taco that is not good at all. The last several times I have come it has been the same. I guess I kept coming back hoping it was an off day and I'd get my beloved tacos back. As of today I am done for probably a good amount of time. This time-it wasn't just the shrimp tacos but the fajita tacos was a lot cold and the meat was hard and tasted like it had been sitting a couple hours. I sent it back my shrimp tacos only to get the same tacos back! Then when i asked again, this time for a manager to fix it, the shrimp tacos I ordered came back just cooked but hard salty and overcooked.
I think I am just going to let this spot go for a while. I wouldn't have spent $2 a piece on those tacos. So disappointed.

Chubby's Tacos are amazing and super affordable. $6.50 will get you 2 chicken tacos on corn, hard corn, or flour tortillas. Along with a drink, chips and a huge salsa bar. There are plenty of other options too, including seafood and burritos.
There is a full bar here too, if you've got the opportunity to indulge. The only problem used to be that it was cramped, but that's a thing of the past. Chubby's has expanded into the space next door, so now there's plenty of room. Tons of outside seating available too. You can't go wrong.

Yummy! I had tacos with fajita chicken! You get a good amount of food! The pico was amazing! They have outside seating and the inside seating is limited. Only downside well worth it! I am from out of town so I was glad to not be disappointed!
