Very cool place! It's like walking through a mini museum but you can buy the exhibit

Absolutely fascinating store with a wide selection of curiosities ranging from mole skeletons to air plants to science project kits. I have been able to buy a bunch of gifts here for my cousins' kids, such as cyanotype paper (for making sun prints). The staff are friendly and eager to show you their latest acquisitions. On my last visit I was shown a preserved snake and a frightening spider. You can park on the street. One neat thing, if you park right in front of the store, is that you can see a couple of small horse dolls hitched to some rings bolted into the sidewalk.

Every time I go to Portland, I try to make a stop here to check out what's new. There's so many interesting things to look and and buy. There's always something new to look at. The employees are really nice and really helpful when answering questions. My favorite things are the taxidermy animals.
They have jewelry, scientific instruments, plants, planters, crystals and gems, books, stuff for children, crafts, etc. I wish I had enough money to buy out the whole store and ship it back home!

Incredible store with very attentive staff. This store isn't for everyone - certainly not for the faint of heart. Although they have a few of those set in acrylic. Hearts, that is.
There aren't very many times in my life I've *really* wanted to own a stuffed mouse, but this was one of those times.
Even if the items here won't work with your decor, you should give this place a visit just to say you have.
