I'm not even sure what the hype is about with this hotel. Front desk staffs were nice and helpful. Parking is $38USD per night and the ONLY option is to use their valet service. I don't mind paying the fee except I DON'T WANT OTHER PEOPLE DRIVING MY CAR. Room was just average, nothing fancy. Insulation was so bad I could hear my next door neighbors moaning while making babies (So bad, I thought they were in the same room). Bathroom also smells like sewage with dead rats. I made the mistake of sleeping with the washroom door half opened and the entire room started to stink like a rats nest. I've been to many 4 star hotels and this one doesn't even come close to one. 2 stars instead of 1 because the front desk staffs were nice and helpful. That's really about it

Great little hotel. Sometimes could be a little noisy, but overall great stay. Easy to get to and centrally located made it easy to explore Portland. Would stay again.

This was the second time we chose to stay at this hotel. Although both times we arrived early in the day before noon, the hotel staff was happy to check us in early and secure us a room. Small rooms, but oh so comfortable. The staff is genuinely friendly and helpful, and the location is fabulous! You can pick up a street car to other neighborhoods within 2 blocks of the hotel, but the walk to Pioneer Square takes only 10 - 15 minutes or so. This has quickly become my favorite place to stay in Portland, and I look forward to returning soon.

Stayed here in April 2016 and loved it! Went directly to their site to book a new stay and was pleasantly surprised by the rates and the gift offers.
Was not so pleasantly surprised to discover that there was a previously undisclosed amenity fee that totalled nearly $95 ($23 and change per night) on my stay - after I had already booked it.
For those curious, the amenity fee includes $15 of mandatory mini-bar fees, access to the gym, and unlimited domestic calls from your room (in an era of smartphones)
Cancelled the reservation - won't be staying there again.

My wife and I stayed here for our anniversary. The staff was SO NICE! When they heard about our occasion, they sent up a bottle of wine. Every interaction with the staff was excellent. Also has a very cool rec room and a good bar. We will absolutely be staying with them again.
