I've been coming to Smiles Hollywood since moving to Portland and I love it. Dr. Han is new to the practice, but I saw her yesterday and she was thorough and professional. Nadine is "my" hygienist and she's awesome!

I recently had my teeth cleaned and the dental hygienist was great! I just about fell asleep while she was cleaning my teeth. That's a first. She was also, super polite, checking in with me every step of the way. The staff was professional and generally made the process easy. I will return and recommend them if you want a quick response for appointments and easy process start to finish.

Dr. Han is the dentist at this location and I believe she has no partners. I did struggle to get an appointment, meaning every time I called no one answered so I believe they are stressed as far as front desk staff goes. Once I did get in, I was roomed on time, both hygienist and dentist were very thorough in explaining the process and really kind to me and each other. Plus, I've never had a female dentist in my life and I support women in science!

Historically, I am very happy with the dental care I have received working with Drs. Worthington, Gagnon, & under current management, Dr. Lee; and the excellent clinical staff. I'm very concerned with current "management" under the Smiles group, and quite disappointed that, on presenting for a recent appointment to follow up with a plan developed with Dr. Lee, I was not informed that he was no longer with the practice; discovered at the time of the visit, I was not informed at the time of making the appointment, despite a detailed description of my expectations for the visit, specifically mentioning Dr. Lee.
Perhaps there are reasons, prioritizing the financial concerns of the "management" (again, I place that in quotes) to have kept me in the dark regarding this, and to not assist me in locating the current location of the dentist familiar with my complicated medical/dental history; but from the perspective of a patient (who happens to be a family physician, so familiar with the intricacies of balancing patient care with the bottom line), this is an unforgivable discourtesy.
In search now for a practice that appropriately prioritizes patient care.

I recently went in for an initial visit. I was seen in a timely way. Staff was friendly and dealt with my insurance appropriately. I had a small issue taken care of at a follow up visit. They also offered advice on how to resolve an issue I was experiencing, which was effective in mitigating the problem. I will go back here.
