I truly cannot say enough good about Powell Vet Center. We took our boy to them when we found out his leg was broken, and they were caring and honest about his options, and were willing to help us out when not many other vets seemed to want to. Dr. Ault is a superstar and truly made our experience with our amputation the best it could be. They have been so helpful in answering all of my questions and supporting us 100% of the way! We are so glad we have found our new vet clinic!

I called to see about making an appointment and when the phone was answered they picked it up and put it back on the receiver. I called back and got a busy signal, as if they jist left the phone off the hook just so they didnt have to answer it. Very unprofessional.

They do not return phone calls or emails. I should know, I’m still waiting to hear back from an email just to confirm my cat’s appt. you’re on hold for 20-30 min when you do get in touch with a human. I’m so frustrated with them

My dogs love visiting the vet! Every doctor here has been fantastic and their staff is knowledgeable and courteous. They worked around the clock to save my puppy when she had parvo and she is now almost 5 years old and healthy. They are compassionate and caring and have very convenient hours. Prices might be a bit higher than some offices--but in my opinion, you get what you pay for. I will never switch vets as long as I live in Portland

I you are working class poor, I would advise you to go to another vet! I did not want to give any stars but google makes you pick at least one. My kitten died after being misdiagnosed at this "Veterinary Center". I don't see the original review up anymore which I wrote while I was crying and heartbroken so I am writing another. Lucifer was a healthy kitten who had gobbled down some yarn. The yarn was blocking his intestine and when I took him into Powell Veterinary Center they just gave him antibiotics and told me if I wanted any more info they would have to do a bunch of really expensive tests. They pushed me to get a credit card and then left me alone in a room to "make a decision about my cats health". I felt bullied and cornered. I could not afford their "tests" and did not understand what was wrong with my kitten. The credit card was out of the picture. Needless to say the antibiotics they sold me did nothing and my kitten continued to suffer. Struggling to pee and poo and laying around in the bathtub. So back I went and the vets gave me pain meds for him. These did nothing to clear up his symptoms, of course. One night he was struggling to breath when I got home from work so I rushed him to the emergency vet. The operating vet told me whenever boy kittens with Lucifer's symptoms come in she feels around their intestines for some type of string related blockage. She said she could feel it as soon as she examined him as he lay dying. The emergency vet also said if this issue were caught sooner, Lucifer never would have died because they could have done surgery. She told me what happened to me at Powell Veterinary Center was terrible especially the pushing of a credit card for elaborate testing when what was going on with my kitten was a typical issue all vets and vet techs should know how to manually check for. RIP Little Lucifer. I will never set foot in Powell Vet Center ever again.
