I had a dream of having the birthday cake of my life: the lava cake at the Chart House. Eating it was a 10 of pleasure and I ate it down to the last spoonful of melted ice cream and chocolate. Beautiful view, pleasant surroundings, a great waiter with panache, and the Ashen coffee afterwards was superb! One of Portland's great restaurants with a view to be relished.

Our dinner with friends was excellent. Our waiter was good and very caring. My drink order was never correct but I did not make a fuss. We each had a steak and they were cooked to perfection.

The view is spectacular. The food is alright. Maybe it's just what I had, but I wasn't that Impressed. The service was amazing. Jaramy was exceptional. The view was just so amazing I'd go again and try a different meal.

Best steak I've had in 40 years! My sister was in town and surprised me with a visit to the Portland Chart House. Our meals were both topnotch. She had the prime rib and was thrilled with it. The service was excellent, too, and we enjoyed a lovely evening together. 10 stars if possible!

Went for Happy to celebrate my birthday in the lounge.
There is quite a menu of scrumptious food to order on happy your ranging from 4 - 7 dollars. $6 wines and $7 cocktails. We were there to celebrate my birthday month. The service was friendly and efficient. What a great view of the entire city. We were their on Memorial day, about 4:30pm and the lounge area was wide open. They also have complimentary valet parking. Highly recommend it to locals who want a quick getaway, and feel like you on vacation. Or a must see for visitors to Portland. The bartender was our waiter and just went out of his way to assure a great experience. Highly recommend the prime rib sliders, they will not disappoint.
