Little piece of Sweden in a funky Portland neighbourhood. Exciting, hearty, great service - you get a trip into a different experience and food culture, Swedish style sandwiches and pancakes - I wish we had a place like that in Vancouver!

Although I was unimpressed by the salmon egg bake, the lefke was OUT OF THIS WORLD. They took classic ingredients and somehow perfected the dish in a memorable way. From what I’ve learned of the cuisine it tastes truly traditional, AND it’s not too over priced for its quality. Yum yum. I’m from Utah and so wish they were here to eat at each week in Salt Lake. (Come here please please!) I highly recommend a visit to Cafe Broder.

A wonderful Scandinavian inspired cafe! The Swedish meat balls were great and it was wonderful to have coffee in a glass again lol. Be prepared to wait a while for seats this place is pretty popular and for a reason!

On a Sunday, arrived around 930a and got seated around 1010a. Service is quick, friendly, and efficient. Ordered the hash with smoke trout, pancakes, pork and apple sausage, and Lost Eggs. Everything was delicious. Good flavors.

Amazing service, fantastic food, absolutely worth the wait. A trip to Cafe Broder is a unique experience. The food is a beautiful mix of traditional Scandinavian cuisine done at it's very best. Expect to wait outside for a table it gets very very busy. They offer unlimited coffee to keep you satisfied while you wait. I thought the service was great and the food reminded me of home so much.
