An absolute nightmare. I had prescription insurance with Aetna until last month when I changed jobs. I am a type 1 diabetic and my doctor called in a refill for insulin 2 weeks before my coverage end date to make sure I got the insulin on time. When I called to find out where the insulin was after 10 days, Aetna said they had processing delays and by the time they processed my refill I would not be covered. As a result I ended up in the emergency room to get insulin. Needless to say I am suing Aetna for damages. They are truly an evil company.

Customer service has been a nightmare. Signed up for a family plan after birth of daughter. Aetna signed me up for the family plan, but never added my daugher! Every time I call I get a different answer to how to resolve the situation, and most representatives are rude. Finally got the problem sorted, after ten calls and several weeks of trying. If you're looking for an insurance company that goes the extra mile to ignore you and screw up your paperwork, you've found it.
