I hate going to the dentist and rarely ever write reviews online but I feel the need to express my gratitude to Dr. Buss and her wonderful staff. I went in there after going five years without even getting a cleaning. Needless to say I was feeling anxious, and embarrassed but she made me perfectly at home. Being on vacation from California I had only a limited amount of time to get a lot of work done on my teeth. Although she was very busy, she managed to squeeze me into her schedule and took care of all my dental needs showing great diligence and patience while doing so. Dr. Buss and her team are true professionals who put their patient's needs first. Dr. Buss is exceptionally talented and very experienced. Props to my my brother, Paul O'Rourke for introducing me to Portland Smiles. Good looks buddy.
Dr. Buss, I can't thank you enough! Good luck.

Ok- we know everyone doesn't exactly love going to the dentist but I swear that Dr. Buss and her team make the experience as pleasant as possible. The offices are clean, the staff is friendly and my cleaning was quick and easy. I'm not sure what else to say but when you leave the dentist's office and feel compelled to write a Google review I would say that Portland Smiles is doing a great job. If you are looking for a new dentist or dread going to your current one- this is the best choice in the area.

Best dental experience thus far. Loved how friendly and accomodating everyone was. I haven't been to a dentist office in over 5 years due to horrible experiences from past visits. I had a toothache and had no choice but to get help . I stumbled on Portland Smiles during my research online and decided to bite the bullet and make an appointment. During my appointment, Dr. Buss and her staff answered all my questions and where great at addressing and calming my fears. The interior is definitely a plus, in that it has a clean and comforting atmosphere. I highly recommend Portland Smiles.

I came to Portland Smiles because I had a nasty experience with my previous dentist. I don't want to give the company's name, so let's just say they are named after a famous skiing destination in Colorado. And no, I'm not talking about Vail Dentistry, they're great. Portland Smiles was friendly and informative, staffed by terrific professionals who always made me feel quite comfortable. I wholeheartedly recommend this business to anyone looking for a dentist in the vicinity of Portland, Maine.

I loved it from start to finish! When I walked into this office for the first time, I could not believe how bright, inviting, and clean this office was. The whole office looks brand new!
The staff has been absolutely wonderful every single time I have been there. They are always pleasant, thorough, and really knowledgeable. Dr. Buss has a wonderful bedside manner to go along with her dental expertise. Additionally, making appointments has been so flexible, which was so important to me because of my busy schedule.
Before I started with these guys, it was easy for me to make excuses and not do a good job going to the dentist. This experience has completely changed this mindset. As I am approaching 40, I am becoming more and more aware of how important long-term dental health is. If you are looking for a change in your dentist or looking for a new one, I would highly recommend making an appointment with Dr. Buss and the staff at Portland Smiles!
