The best Japanese restaurant in this area. Servers were attentive and friendly. The quality of food was top notch. The price was reasonable.

Extremely overpriced for the quality/quantity.
Omakase for two plus our alcohol was nearly $400.
I get that Umi is one of the trendy Big Burrito Restaurants, ambiance and decor is lovely, service excellent, etc. but the meal was just not worth it. We were served little variety throughout and miniscule/tiny, though technically perfect, pieces of fish. Visit for the sake selection if nothing else.

It was very disappointing. We are from NJ so we have a lot of experience with seafood. It's not that the food tasted bad. It's that the prices are outrageous for the portions they serve. The squid pasta literally had 5 pieces of legs and cost $21. The assorted sushi had 8 pieces and 6 pieces of maki ($33). The sushi slices on top of the rice were maybe a little bigger than my thumbnail. The terriyaki salmon had so much soy sauce that it was so salty we barely touched it. Never going back to this place. The only reason I'm giving 2 stars is from the ambience and the service.
