My family and I came here during our trip to Pittsburgh. This place was strongly recommended by a friend. So the expectation was set quite high. The food is decent. However, too much carbs and not enough protein for my Dan Dan noodle dish. The beef noodle dish my husband got was better. The flour they used can be improved. The chewiness and texture were so so. The noodle also didn’t sit well in my stomach. We also got the pan fried dumplings, which were so so. Good presentation of dumplings, but failed on the execution. When I bite into the dumplings, not a lot of juice. It also was on the cold side when it was served. So a tip for others, not to sit in the bar area, because the AC was blowing there.

There's usually a short wait, but I've never experienced one longer than 15-20 minutes. Inside seating is sparse, and built for speed over comfort. Food is ordered on a pick-sheet, and the ultra friendly staff will help decipher your choices, and ensure you've chosen well. Food arrives quickly, as it's ready, so don't expect traditional "appetizer" and "entrée" courses. Everything is fresh and full of flavor. Standouts include the pickled cucumbers, any of the noodle soups, and of course the pork soup dumplings. Don't be afraid to slurp!

Photos make this place look intimate, but this place is small. The tables are close together and it can be loud when busy. The staff are friendly and willing to make recommendations. The food is really good, especially the pork soup dumplings. (Those are like a revelation!)

Took my parents here for our vacation. We got the beef noodle soup both ways and the buns. My mom, who's Taiwanese, loved the buns so much that we came back the next day to buy some more buns for my sister at home. The soup broths were also meaty, and clearly simmered for a long time. My dad compared it to his childhood where they would have the bones simmering for a whole day before serving.

Service was great. My only complaint was that there are very little vegetarian options. There was only one noodle dish that was vegetarian and it was a cold noodle soup. Don't come looking for a warm vegetarian or vegan noodle dish here. That being said, the sesame noodle dish was good. Reminded me of pasta salad so it was edible. The inside of the restaurant is very pretty and entertaining, but as a vegetarian you may find better options elsewhere.
