I went for "Industry Night" (Mondays) where they have their own cheaper menu. The food was good and so we're the drinks. Meet a lot of nice people, too.

Only just a little bit too hipster for me, but I'm not a kid anymore, either. They have a wide variety of events in what was an old gymnasium. Ping Pong, Dj's, wrestling. Dare to dream, right? The bar staff really shows the love, but I find the bar stools uncomfortable. (Sit at the table!) The restaurant is very tasty as well, but sometimes seems to be just a bit overwhelmed.

Cool place to grab a drink, I didn’t eat at the restaurant. The atmosphere as a former YMCA here is really cool. Staff was friendly and not too attentive for the casual bar. They provide board games to pass the time with your companions. A bit pricy.

Such a beautiful little hotel, right in the thick of the best parts of Pittsburgh! Everything from the lobby to the dining area and the rooms was pretty and beautifully decorated. Price was...not cheap...but in my opinion, it was worth every penny. My family had a great time here and we were happy to have stayed! Plus, their brunch is fantastic!

I don't consider myself a hip person and I sometimes feel a bit out of place when I come here. I also think the food at The Whitmore is just okay. That's why I knocked off a star. Otherwise this place is pretty fantastic. I can bring my small dog for a drink, staff have always been awesome, drinks are both creative, good and affordable, and the rehab of the YMCA is well done. I haven't stayed here, so I can't speak to that.
