I spent an evening at the Rittenhouse Hotel for a friend's wedding and overall, it was a great experience. The room where the ceremony and reception were held were beautiful. I took off one star because (1) a few members of the wait staff, specifically during the cocktail hour, seemed to go out of their way to be unfriendly and (2) the food was good, not great as I would've expected.

The location is great. It's right in the heart of center city. I'm amazed by the interior architecture. Having a harpist in the lobby was an added bonus. I may stop there sometime just to listen to her play.

Great ambience for late night drinks. Drinks are well made and reasonably priced. Doesn't really have any bar food, but that's kind of expected in this establishment.

Originally I liked this hotel. Very nice and great staff. But my stay was back in December. Today, seven months later I get an email from them saying they charged my card on file for transportation that they apparently forgot to charge me originally. This was a business trip so now I need to go through the paperwork from back then and see if I can get reimbursed for this. It took them seven months to charge this to me. They sure didn't seem to care, just a robotic apology because they got their money and I'm the one left with the tab if I can't get the reimbursement. Trust lost.
