Amazing! And very exclusive. Best house made sauce Ive ever had. Pizza is baked in a 18ft deep brick gas oven. Must call in advance to 'reserve' a pie. Very well made and delicious pizza. Highly recommend!!

I've heard so much about this place and after trying it for the first time, it definitely lives up to all of the hype. The crust is amazing. It's BYOB, so make sure to bring some drinks to go with your pizza! It's my new favorite pizza spot in Philly.

Walked in with a date on a Sunday afternoon. We didn't have a reservation but they were kind enough to squeeze us in.
Don't let the unremarkable interior fool you -- this pizza is top notch. We went with spinach and red pepper. Pizza is served thin crust style, loaded with toppings (but still very much able to be eaten with hands), and is delicious. Service was lightning fast and friendly. Would definitely go back again.

Tacconelli's pizza is so good that I came close to eating two pies myself. The dough is so light, the cheese sparse but accurately placed, and the gravy, well, let's just say it's the greatest I've ever had on a pizza. There is sugar in that sweet sauce, but better to have sugar in their gravy rather than a candy bar. The sound of the cracker when you crack the pie is better than like listening to Liberace play piano. The crust is burned to perfection and tastes better than any breadstick you can concoct when dipped into the oil and gravy from the pie. While many may be turned off by having to reserve their pie in advance, plus the fact that they often sell out of dough early in the day, I promise that if you try them at least once, you will not regret the experience. This is a top 10 pizza in America!

If you like a pizza that has a crispy crust then this is THEE place to go. Super casual and BYOB. The process of ordering ahead is no hassle and well worth it. And if it takes a little time for the pizza to come out to the table so what? If you need your pizza in a hurry then buy a frozen one at the grocery store and put it in the microwave :) If you want the best pizza Philly has to offer Tacconelli's is it. Just make sure to go to the original location on Somerset St.
