It's been a while since I last went to Le Mandingue & I got so surprised to see the changes that they did on their interior. The restaurant looks super beautiful with the new decor... the tables, the chairs, the walls... I didn't know which way to look. I was really impressed! Their food is absolutely amazing! Plus the puff-puff are to die for. If you have the taste for delicious west african food, Le Mandingue is the place to go in the heart of Southwest Philadelphia.

Good food, large portions. A small eating area. It is a good sign that many Africans actually patronize the place. A long wait for our food, but worth it since I didn't need to return to work for a while.

Me and my family drove to this place from out of state just to try some African Food. We tried calling an hour before arriving to this business. The freaking woman picked up the phone and asked me what I was looking for I told her what I wanted she told me "We out of it" then hung up with an attitude. We arrived and waited for about another 45 minutes to an hour just to get our food. When we got our food the woman had attitude about spoons telling me "it's over there" when it wasn't where it was supposed to be. I spoke to a manager and he actually gave me the spoon I was looking for to eat. This is the WORST RESTAURANT on Woodland Ave. in Philly. DON'T WASTE YOUR MONEY.

The food is ok but the customer service is horrible. I got there and everyone was pretty upset. The cashier treated me like a thief. I order some food and for some reason their machine couldn't read my card. She told me in the most embarrassing way that I should give her cash or take my card to the ATM and get some cash ( of course she didn't want to enter the card number manually) By my side there was a young man complaining that he ordered his food an hour ago and he still didn't get it she told him that he wasn't the only customer there and he should be patient. I will not go there anymore. They should change their cashier if they want to keep their customers or teach her some customer service skills

I'm new to food from the Mother Land but I see why this place, all 5 times I've been here it's been crowded and you have to wait. So far I've bought the same thing every time - lamb & stuffed plantain - because for $12 you get your monies worth and it tastes great. They carry 4 types of desert, the one I tried is called "sour milk". It tastes like, "SOUR MILK"! 'Nough Said! Its one of those tastes that makes you wonder, who said this was a desert to begin with. Love the atmosphere and ambiance. Will try other foods in the future and update my rating.
