Did not have a good experience. They are under new management and unfortunately my favorite bartender Gina is no longer there. She made the place easily going and a great place to enjoy my food and drink. I do not recommend this place, the new management were rude to me and must have lost their minds for getting rid of an amazing bartender.

I've been to LaScalla a few times and had great dinners and service. My recent visit was not the norm. We came during a not crowded happy hour and sat outside. It took 20 mins to get service. When we went went in to question service, the waiter finally came out. He said it was the hosts fault, not his, with no apology. We ordered only happy hour items. Toasted ravioli and meatballs were delicious. The Lascala cheese steak rolls and the calamari were both dry and not good. I asked the waiter to clean our table which was dusty from outside. It took him 10 mins and after I asked another waiter for him to come back and do it. There were other things, but this is all I'll describe. Overall, the service brought the meal down.

Chicken and veal were like tenderloin or cutlets. Pasta and pizza is good though.though I did not feel like eating . the manager was really great and very apologetic. She was terrific.

Mainstream Italian - Our experiences in Philadelphia were underwhelming, and we chose this for lunch because it had high review numbers on Open Table. It did not measure up to the 4.5 it was given, but it was definitely a decent meal. My spouse disliked her pizza - it was a bit on the doughy and soft side - but the rest of our meal was good, and certainly enjoyable.

Our waiter and busboys were expedient and friendly, and our service was overall very good. The ambiance was nice and the restaurant was clean. The food also had some very high notes: the spinach on my veal was flavorful and the noodles that came with it were dressed very well. I also thought the plating was quite appealing and that the servings were generously Unfortunately, the veal itself was a little tough and my girlfriend's lasagna was only pretty good. I would recommend if you are looking for a meal in the Liberty Bell area.
