I will give this place minus 10 starts if I could, let me start by saying this place is overrated, went to Philadelphia with my husband to celebrate our anniversary and we choose to celebrate at amada base on their good reviews and we’ve visited Jose Garces restaurants in other cities but what a disappointment night they ruin our dinner, first they sit us in the back of the restaurant right next to the kitchen, my husband requested to be move to the front of the restaurant they were not to happy about that, than they sat us in a table by the bar not even in the restaurant witch we were fine with that, the waiter was not friendly at all, but we didn’t care, we order some appetizer and my husband order a glass of wine, the appetizers came after 20 min, still no wine at this point, the waiter came back to get the dinner order and we asked about the wine and he refuse to serve us wine because according to him, we need it to wait, who are you Waiter?, I requested to speak with the manager, he didn’t even want it to come to the table to speak with us we had to go and find him, the most disappointed part was how the manager of the restaurant handle the situation, I’m sure Jose will be very disappointed if he knew what type of costumer service he has on his restaurants.
There are so many good restaurants in Philly make another choice before you decide to go here.
Thanks Amada for ruin our anniversary dinner.

The food was delicious but overpriced.I understand it's a tapas place but still. My brother got the short rib flat bread ($15) which had 3 maybe 4oz of meat on it. We both got the Madre y hijo: half a chicken breast, 2 finger ling potatoes, half a strip of bacon and an egg yolk with truffle oil (which I know is expensive) but for $13. Others at our table were underwhelmed. Also the service left a bit to be desired. We ordered two glasses of wine and three beers, waited about ten minutes. Once the drinks arrived the beers were a good finger short of reaching the top of the glass, being a bartender and server for ten years that tells me the drinks sat at the service bar for a bit.

Tasty tapa style food and friendly service. We shared a pitcher of white sangria and it lacked flavor and was likely diluted by all of the ice. There were slight issues with making accommodations for food sensitivities. We had reservations for several weeks so I was surprised that the only seating option was for a side/back section of the restaurant which had uncomfortably dim lighting.

Was very excited to try this place out, but fairly underwhelmed by the experience.

My fiancée and I ordered 4 tapas, which were brought out at the exact same time. It didn't allow us to enjoy each individually and eventually they all got cold. It felt as if they were trying to get us out of the restaurant as quickly as possible.

Additionally, the cocktails we ordered were ok, not great, but for $13-15 a pop, that's not ideal. Maybe this is more of a wine place?

The food quality was very good (when it was warm), but will likely not be trying this place again. I've had the same quality of tapas for way less money.
