I've always kept this restaurant near & dear to my heart as a quaint, romantic spot for 1st dates or girls supper night. You can psy to park diagonally across the street for a few extra bucks. I always get the salmon entered, its normally delicious however a week ago it was at best average. I was super excited about the (cool) cucumber soup, it had hints of salmon & cream cheese & I tried sticky rice with some type of spices chicken, that was good too. I was a lil underwhelmed with the snap peas, however perfectly crisp ; I don't think it paired well with the salmon dish, the portion was super small and literally it was served w/ one medium tight shrimp.....seems as if the ingredients have declined...atleast the bread /butter was still consistent. My date complained the restrooms was too narrow.

My date and I got the fried calamari, the shrimp and watermelon salad, the French oven roasted chicken, and the salmon.
The calamari and the duping sauces that came with it was the best part of the meal. The salad was small and lazily thrown together. The chicken was equivalent to acme rotisserie chicken. There was nothing to it. Veggies were disgustingly lathered in butter. The $30 salmon was mediocre at best. We expected more from $30 entrees. We paid $85 for a meal that we could have done better ourselves.

We had dinner here after visiting the Barnes Foundation. A short walk from the Barnes. Great dinner! The tomato soup (special for the day) and goat cheese and beet salad were both very good starters. The homemade tortellini was excellent. The Tattoo Pasta, homemade pappardelle with a fantastic meat sauce, was excellent as well. Good service. We will go back again when in the Art Museum area.
