My mother went for an eye exam and found the frames there to be way too expensive so she was going to take her prescription elsewhere. Cindy, the lady assisting my mother, refused to give her all of her exam information- that she paid for and is legally entitled to- and was extremely rude to her. She went to Costco and was treated with the dignity and respect she should have got at illinois eye center. She, nor anyone in our family will ever go back.

After they used all of our insurance they still wanted over $250 for a pair of glases and contacts. Plus the dr did not test her eyes for a new prescription and used her old one from 2 years ago!!!! We know her eyes hav changed!

I scheduled a routine eye exam for my 3 yr old. I get a free eye exam every year under my insurance plan. They did not bill code it correctly for insurance for what I SCHEDULED and RECEIVED- A ROUTINE eye exam! They will make every excuse to not bill it as routine so they can get more insurance money. I eventually HAD to pay it because they would say they had to check with the doctor and call me back - NEVER to call back. I fought them for a year to code it correctly and finally had to pay it because they were hurting my credit score. If you schedule a ROUTINE exam here, best be adamant that is how they bill code it!!
