Years ago I moved out to the Millard area. I wanted to find a vet closer to my house so I took my fur baby Juneau to this new vet. He took blood and when the results came back he told me my baby was in kidney failure and wanted to do all sorts of other things. I knew this was not true because Dr. Trost had taken care of him from puppy stage, and would have caught such a chronic disease. I took my baby back to Dr. Trost and informed him of what the new vet said. He reassured me my Juneau was fine. He didn't make any negative comments about the other vet. I thought this very professional. My baby lived many many more years after this until he had a stroke. Dr. Trost was very compassionate when I had to let him go.
Now I take my two new babies Bernie and Henri to him. I would travel to the ends of the earth to have him care for them. I highly recommend him.
I do agree though that his assistants could use a little customer service training. They have never been rude but they could at least smile a little more.

Appointments are managed timely, could get in anytime for regular annual shots etc. and Dr . Pittman handled “Blacky” and “Baby” without any ‘angry’ response from the kitty’s.

Never had a bad experience. Great Vet. Prices are even better. I don't live on this side of town, but will always give them my business since they have always been awesome.

This is the best overall animal hospital I've ever dealt with. The staff is very helpful & very compassionate. Dr. Trost's expertise is awesome. His love for animals shines through everything he does.

Best Vet Clinic in Omaha!
I needed a new vet in Omaha for my elderly dog after a suspected leg or back injury. The entire staff at Pittman's were very friendly and caring, and got us in for an appointment right away. My dog had an overnight stay there and was well taken care of. I ended up having to put my dog down a short while later, due to age and her constant pain. Not only were the staff so caring and compassionate, but a few days later, I received a beautiful sympathy card, hand signed by all of the staff. I was so touched by this!
My parent's have since switched to Pittman's, and they will be my vet of choice in the future. Highly recommended, and reasonable rates!
