After reading the past 2 reviews, I felt the need to share my experience. FIRST, the staff are all caring, kind, and helpful people. The doctors on staff have been there for many years and I trust them with my animals. Dr. Lindley is so kind and intelligent. And the only one around who cares enough to affordable prices and will see your sick let money or not.
Dr. Starry is thorough and truely cares about getting your pet taken care of, No matter how long it takes.
The newest doctor, I don't have much experience with and feel that maybe she is the root if the negative comments, but I can't say for certain.
All in all, I will never take my pets anywhere else and feel like they are the best around. And that I can trust them. Unfortunately the good feedback is always lost in the shuffle and the bad experiences always seem to stuck out most to people. But at the end of the day, No one is perfect. But I feel that saying this place isn't where someone should take their animals is one sided and not credible.
Thank you kitty Klinic for always being my go to vet!!!

I've been a client for several years and have brought several cats, a blue tongue skink (lizard) and my parakeet here for care. Service has always been mediocre, but they have lost my business completely after my most recent visit.
Reception has always been borderline aggressive and apathetic. But I've ignored it for the most part because the kitty klinic is one of the few vets in the area to service reptiles, which is why I chose them in the first place. My partner was the one to take in our pets since I work full time in Tacoma, so I didn't how sub-par the service was until now.
First of all: don't bother taking your exotics here. When I brought in my lizard they basically looked at him, said he was a healthy weight and had no mites, and that was it. When we asked them about a bump on his tail, they charged us an exorbitant amount of money without quoting us the price so they could lance it. So what was supposed to be a $45 intake visit was almost $150.
The final deal breaker:
I have a cat that had to go to the emergency vet for a swollen lymph node in her throat not allowing her to eat. They advised that if it got worse after the initial treatment to take her to my normal vet, since it would be cheaper and the normal vet knows the cat better. This visit caused me to miss several days of work and take out a new credit card to pay for it, but it was worth it if it could help my cat be able to eat.
A little over a week later, we noticed her not being able to eat again. She had interest in food, but couldn't get it down. I was already bringing in our kitten to the kitty klinic for his next set of vaccinations, so I called and asked if I could bring her in as well, or if she should be seen seperately. I explained the situation. They told me to call the emergency vet, since that vet knew what was going on better. So I called the emergency vet. They told me to call my normal vet for the same reasons. I called the Kitty Klinic again and they finally told me it was fine to bring her in while my kitten got his vaccinations on Saturday.
Then later I got a call on Friday asking me if I wanted to move my appointment up so there would be plenty of time to get her seen. I wholeheartedly agreed.
Saturday rolls around, we show up early, get her in, explain what is going on with the lymph node, and the first thing out of her mouth is "Why would you bring me a cat like this on the last appointment before a three day weekend." When I tried to explain, she cut me off and continued to berate me, telling me I wasn't a good pet owner, that I wasn't trying hard enough, that I didn't care. After I wiped out my PTO at work, my savings, and opened a credit card to try and get SOMEONE to help my poor cat eat. She'd lost a pound in the course of a month and was in pain, and the vet spent 10 minutes of our visit telling me how terrible a person I was, and how she wasn't going to stay late because I was being irresponsible. It wasn't until I started crying in frustration that she apologized and actually started to look at my cat.
She ignored the information we gave her about a lymph node problem, touching the cat's neck and saying she couldn't feel anything, even though the emergency vet only found it by putting her to sleep and shoving a camera down her throat. Then she said she had a heart murmur, and that that must have been causing her problems. She then told us to force feed the cat with liquid food in a syringe, to "kick start her stomach" into wanting to eat again. We tried to explain that she wanted to eat, she just couldn't, she'd throw up food she ate.
So we get the cat home and give her the food. She eats some of it, but not all, so we go to force feed her. She stopped wanting food at all, and started throwing up, got lethargic, and just laid around.
We took her to another vet and she's already feeling better. The Kitty Klinic didn't even bother to fax over her records to the new place even after they asked. Would rate 0 stars if I could.
AVOID THIS PLACE!

I recently took my cat here to see her for a check up after getting a diagnosis from an emergency vet.
We called in a week in advance to set up the appointment and asked if they needed her medical files from the emergency visit, they said yes and that seemed to be the end of it. We called again in the week to ask if they received her files and reception acted as though we'd never sent them in the first place.
After assuring them we'd not only talk to the Emergency vet and they they would make sure they were received, we were shocked to find they'd never been received, despite the Emergency Vet explaining that they had sent them over twice now.
Reception is 50/50 Sometimes the person working there is calm and easy to speak to, but other times you get someone who is rude, curt and snide in their mannerisms.
While we were told that we were moved up an appointment, to make sure we had enough time to be seen and for our cat to be thoroughly looked over, when the vet saw us, she belittled us and insulted us to the point of putting my partner in tears.
When telling her we'd done exactly as reception had asked, she continued to tell us
"We could have done more" and that bringing her in as the last appointment (despite having been moved up a slot to give them ample time to examine her) was a fault on our end, that if she needed extensive care, it couldn't be done till tuesday due to the lack of hours remaining on her work watch.
Because my cat's medical files had never been received, the Vet was unaware what her specific issue was. And when I explained to her the exact problem, I was ignored.
I was very forward and upfront in explaining her issue (which later I'd found out could be treated with blood work which was never done at the Kitty Klinic) and was met with opposition, claiming that the real underlying issue was something else entirely.
We were given a treatment that I had expressed my concern with, and told that over the weekend our vet would personally call the Emergency Vet and contact us with further instructions. (Of which I never received)
After two days of following her instructions, my cat rapidly fell into decline. I've since seen another vet and gotten a second opinion and treatment and my pet is not only looking better but becoming once more social and loving.
I could not beleive the amount of harassment we received. Less so that the diagnosis given by a separate professional was completely ignored. Kitty Klinics's vet proved to be rude, arrogant and uninterested in hearing my observations in my animal and thus caused undue stress, pain and suffering in my already sick pet.
This paired with the fact that reception continues to be a gamble on if they will do their job in getting medical records as well as contacting clients for more than a simple reminder of their appointment is the reason they've lost our business.
I would highly recommend shopping around before settling with the Kitty Klinic.

They told me that one of their vets is an exotic vet so I brought my cavy there to get her hind area checked, she has white specs all over and screams at me when I try petting her there, they took a q tip, wiped her butt with it, then told me they would come back with the results. I waited a half hour which was fine but the vet came back in the room and completely forgot that she was supposed to look at her findings under a microscope and then told me when I asked her about the results " she's fine she is just sensitive" they took her weight and it turns out nothing was written up in her records because I just asked for them to be sent and they sent a blank record sheet to me. NOT going back, I understand that she is a guinea pig but thats no excuse. Dont miss lead people by saying you have an "exotic vet" Front desk is not friendly either. 👎

My son has a leopard gecko that we have had to take in twice in the past cpl months and I was extremely impressed with the Kitty Klinic. Contrary to it's name Dr. Katie is also a reptile specialist and provided excellent care for our little lizard. The prices are also very reasonable. All of the staff were friendly and competent I would highly recommend the Kitty Klinic.
