Great service. Destini made sure our water glasses were full and that we were enjoying our supper. Very attentive to our needs. Large portions. Could not finish my meal.

Hubby and I had what we call a “fancy” date last night. We go out often, and prefer medium price ranged restaurants. Simply because from our vast experience, they deliver many, many more times the the higher or lower priced options. We had tickets to the theater at 8pm so decided to go crazy. Decided on Flint because I really like the way it looked online, and the menus wasn’t too snobby.
Reservations were for 6:15. We decided to go early and have a drink. Got there between 5:45 and 6, and the valet was severally back up. Had no idea this was actually under a large hotel. Must of missed that on the site. Took about 10 (give or take a couple) minutes to see a valet. Normally we don’t do this, but Friday night, downtown. Anyways, we actually got our seats as soon as we got there. Great! Our server, Garrett, really great!!! Got drinks, very good.
However, we were seated at the window next to where the cats come in. At first it was fine, we all love to people watch. But as it got darker, more cars came in with their lights on. Lights on my face! And they sat there for what seemed like forever. It was constant. And even though Garrett seamed distressed by it and I did see him talk to someone, no blinds were pulled and no offer to move us was given. Imagine sitting next to a huge windows with car lights in you eyes, that was my experience. Finally gave up and moved to the side my husband was on, but unfortunately, you still get a glare. Unbelievable that they actually set up the restaurant this way.
As for the food, drinks were good, basically you got what you ordered. Had the meat and cheese appetizer.Price, a bit steep, actually VERY steep for what you actually get. It was the most expensive appetizer, but it was like 3 meat, 3 cheese, pickles , bad onion, and some dry bread. It was good but not worth the price.
Husband had the trout, which was very dry and salty. I tried the chicken. It was tender and juicy, but had no flavor other than chicken. The potatoes tastes almost exactly like I make at home, and the other weird side was some kidney bean and spice mix, that really made it all a huge downer. One of the sides that you think about later and shudder. Gross.
So from our experience, no we will never go back to Flint for Dinner. Overpriced, and unenjoyable. I’ve read lunch is good so we may try again simply because our server was so truly attentive, and warm.

Great service. Dinner on a Sunday night was very intimate, as there wasn't very many people.

Nice brunch. More affordable fare for being downtown.
Dinner not as striking as brunch. The 12 dollar burger is not recommend.

Good food, had the classic burger. Fries were a little salty though.
Edited from 4 to 5 stars entirely because of how good the sweet tea is.
