We are new patients to "Lim and Yabu" (mom, dad, daughter) and everything went really well! No long waits, really friendly and helpful staff, and most importantly no painful procedures! Dr's Lim and Yabu are interactive, conversational - which is so nice. We loved our former dentist (retired) but are thrilled to have discovered this practice and door to door, arrived at their office in less than 10 minutes!

I have been going to Dr. Yabu for 20 years. He does great work and the experience is always pleasant. I highly recommend him.

Very personable office staff. Dr. Yabu is knowledgeable and does very fine work. I should know. I am his patient and also a dentist. ( We can't work on ourselves. :-) )

I had 4 problem teeth with pockets. I was told that I should go to a periodontist by my dentist of 25 years, for a consultation. In fact I went to two, and each said I needed gum surgery, costing thousands, and each admitted that the surgery may not improve my condition. Since I went through that painful, unsuccessful procedure several years before, I was looking for an alternative. I went to see Dr. Lim, and after evaluation, he suggested the lanap procedure. No pain, easy recovery. One year later, three pockets have improved dramatically. He is an excellent, well informed dentist, and I would strongly recommend him.

i had a pretty good experience this last visit for 2 composite fillings and 2 quadrants of scaling/root planing. no pain to speak of during or after. however, i experienced slight abrasion at 2 spots on my gums due to the use of the mouth prop/bite block used to keep my jaws open. a mild discomfort with no need for analgesic relief but i do have a high pain threshold basically.
i would say i was not happy to see the 10% across-the-board fee increase there that just took place. having so much work to do i was already looking at a delay well into 2014 to 'catch up' on all of my dental health needs. it will only be further prolonged now, as i live on a fixed income and have NO insurance.
so i was disappointed that the 8% prepay discount there (for paying in advance for fee amounts above $500) which i gratefully appreciate, EVAPORATED completely with this across-the-board fee increase. too bad for me.
one other thing happened that was a bit disconcerting, though probably didn't effect work done this appointment. about half way through one of the machines stopped functioning well, starting and stopping again intermittently. i think she switched methods or machines at that point, but one would always hope all devices would be completely functional any time they are being used.
none of the above will keep me from returning again, but i feel it is worth noting, especially since our feedback is useful to you, and other potential patients.
