This is a dive bar. It is populated by a regular cast of alkys. The only food you can trust is the hamburger. It's good for a beer in extremely casual surroundings. The only redeeming feature is that it is quiet enough to have a conversation.

Great little secluded place. Food is great and beer not badly priced.

Very friendly staff, rentals at the driving range were better than I've seen elsewhere, drinks cheap, and they have Heineken on tap, which is hard to come by usually in Oakland. Would definitely recommend.

Love this place. $12 for a large bucket of balls. Friendly and helpful staff. I recently bought two used clubs here and had two more re-gripped for a very reasonable price. The ONLY reason for not giving 5 stars is that they require that you buy the rubber tees for the driving range because apparently people keep stealing them. They cost a buck and my thought is if I'm paying $12 for a large bucket of balls then they should eat the cost of the rubber tee if it gets stolen.

There are three things going on here: the bar, the driving range and the "golf course".
Bar (4 star): The drinks are cheap and the food is quite good. I would say that the bar is this place's strong point. The service was very good as well. The bar overlooks the driving range so this could be a fun thing to do with some buddies. Drink, eat and smash balls.
Driving range (3 star): There is no hitting off of grass here, it's all mats (pretty standard in The Bay Area). The lower level was designed pretty poorly as you cannot do a full swing with your driver because there are posts in the way. If you want to hit a drive you will need to go upstairs but then you can't really judge distance all that well. Overall I would say that this place is fine as a driving range if you are a fairly casual golfer.
Golf course (1 or 2 star): I wouldn't really call this a golf course, it is really more of a chipping practice course. You can really only use a putter and wedges as the distances are between 54-81 yards. I suppose it would be fun if I lived nearby but it's a big disappointment if you drive here for the course.
