Only two beers on tap, and the bottle selection was not that great. The charcuterie plate was OK, but the grilled cheese was pretty great. The staff is super friendly.

This place has a great atmosphere and good music. It is a nice place for a date because of the ambient lighting and decor. However my date and I waited for over 10 minutes to be helped while we were sitting at the bar top. We finished our first round of drinks and waited over 20 minutes to be asked if we wanted another round. We ended up waiving down the bartender (who had been chatting with another employee) and asking for the bill. There were only about 7 customers including us. I would be willing to give them another chance though.

Dogwood is somewhere between fancy dive and cozy bar, with dimly lit interiors, high stools, wood tables, communal seats and it's super dark inside. The staff are great at serving drinks quickly and making conversation, however the drinks are so-so. Patrons are a bit more drunk than I'd like, since Dogwood is open late. You'll also see lots of people making out and grabbing each other in public. I'd come back for their famous grilled cheese.
