When I searched for rolfers in NYC, I had experience as a previous recipient of rolfing, thus was pretty selective. I did not want a practitioner who was going to “preach” to me alternative foods, drugs and practices. I wanted a person who was respectful of my boundaries and intuitive to my needs. Janu was the match. He listened to me, and he assessed my needs and provided me the care needed, without preaching or overstepping boundaries. Prior to starting with Janu I’d sought chiropractic care with no relief. After the first session with Janu, though I came in with a pain level of 7-8 (scale 1-10) I left with a pain level of 3-4. He was able to identify areas of my body intuitively, without me guiding him. I always felt comfortable with Janu and knew that I could trust him to identify my needs. That said, Janu has in subtle ways changed my views on things I previously was skeptic, based on his skills as a practitioner, and my faith in him as a holistic healer.
