The hotel is pretty ok, I have changed 3 in one week and this one was ok but a bit too expensive.
The room I had couldnt fit my luggage because of the gigantic bed and not much space to walk around.
Staff was very helpful, noise from the bridge is not too loud and I had good sleep over 2 nights.
There are few things to improves but overall is ok, if you like to be in ChinaTown.

bad predisposition of the staff. bad attention. They not solve anything. close to everything but very ugly night area. dangerous.

My Husband and I stayed at the Mayor Hotel on May 9th. My Husband paid $150.00 for the night. When they gave us the key to the room we were very upset because the room was much smaller than our bedroom. Then I went to use the bathroom and it had less than a half of roll of toilet paper and nothing extra. Then we needed ice and the Hotel told us that we had to go to the basement to get ice, so we changed our minds. Then here comes the kicker, I went to put our bag's in the closet that was in the room and there was somebodies clothes and suitcase in the closet. So we had to call downstairs and tell them immediately because we didn't want to be responsible for anything that was in the closet. The Front desk told my Husband not to worry about it We told him no. They ended up giving us another room that was as small as the first one. As far as Housekeeping we seen none and the bed's were as hard as a rock. We ended up leaving 4hrs before checkout. I wouldn't recommend this Hotel to my worst enemy. I t wasn't worth $150.00 I would say maybe $80. People be ware.

The guys in reception were super helpful with all my silly never-been-to-NYC questions and were more than happy to look after my luggage and valuables for the day before my flight later that night. The room was tiny but clean and decent for the price. Once I figured out how to open the window for some fresh air we were very comfortable. Definitely stay again for the price.
