I found the rooms clean and comfortable. The bathroom is small but manageable and the shower pressure is a little strong. I used the laundry room available for guests, other than the cost it was a great amenity. I was able to leave my luggage all day at the hotel after I had already checked out.

This is a really great place for the price. The hotel is pretty basic. Nothing too fancy, but if you just need a room for the night with great access to Manhattan (E, M, R, W, and 7 all very close) and Brooklyn (G train) then this is the place to stay. Free breakfast included. Rooms are clean. Sometimes you can hear people in the hallway, so the walls to the outside are a little thin, but that's not constant. Well worth the price.

Seems to be a fairly new hotel so nothing is worn out or not working properly. My room was clean and neat. Water pressure in the shower was great but the heat was too hot so be careful with that. My room had 2 twin beds, if I had to rate the comfort of the mattresses I would give it a 5 out of 10. Other than the mattresses not being extremely comfortable in was very pleased with the hotel and the location. Also street parking on the weekend is very easy to find.

Very friendly and helpful staff. Tube nearby. Fresh scrambled eggs for breakfast. Roof access with great view. Parking is 20$ a night. Only con was the room smelling like it had been a smoking room before. Otherwise everything was great.

We stayed here four nights on our first trip to New York City, and I can't say enough about the place. It's very basic, but has everything I want in a hotel: clean, quiet, comfortable, and affordable. Rooms are small, but very comfortable and scrupulously clean. There's a basic breakfast provided daily, which is a real time and money saver.
Everyone at the hotel was friendly and helpful. Location couldn't be better: a short walk to a subway station one stop from Manhattan, with a grocery store, delis, and a few restaurants within walking distance. Neighborhood looks a little sketchy, but we had no issues.
Is it a 5-star hotel? Not at all. But for the price, it's absolutely fantastic.
