Overall, I can say that AmLotus is a great school for me. They have the best English course here and I am very happy that I enrolled here. This is a great place to learn! Based on my experience, the advantages of coming here surpass the disadvantages. Some of the Advantages that I noticed here are: The school recently expanded, making more school rooms. They also renovated the offices, making it spacious and organize.
They have affordable tuition fees and they also work with you in terms of payment options. Administrative staff are very approachable when you have any school concerns. They are very well versed in immigration and state laws. The staff emails and calls you to keep you abreast with what is happening in school and or notify you if there are any changes in the schedules.The teachers are very good at their jobs and they know their lessons well. They are also very approachable and I learn a lot from them. They also take you on a field trips and expose you to a whole new hands on learning experience which I really like.
The school is equipped with current media technologies that we use in our classes which is very useful and makes the class more engaging and interactive. The school is conveniently located. There are a lot of restaurants and convenience stores in the area in case I get hungry. It is the best area to explore the city after classes.
There are also minimal disadvantages that I observed and I am confident that the school can definitely has no problem in addressing them as they are ready to resolve issues fast. There are times that some staff are not coordinated with the student coordinator in terms of payment option and student schedule. The information that was given to me by the person who called was different from what my student coordinator has informed me. Although they renovated the admissions area, I am not very comfortable with the glass partitions as it doesn’t allow enough privacy.
They don’t have enough space for student lounge or pantry that allows student to eat and heat food in case we bring our own food. The classroom can sometimes get so hot during summertime and it gets too noisy from the street noise below when the windows are open.

I have been studying at Amlotus since January 2017 and I have been pleased with their services. The pros of attending here outweigh the cons. Below are the pros and cons of attending school here based on my experience so far.
Pros
1. Tuition Fees are affordable with no hidden charges and they offer flexible payment terms.
2. The space is clean and organized
3. Administrative staff is very knowledgeable of immigration and state laws. Took so much stress out of my shoulders on this.
4. The media facility is very nice and you will not feel like you paid for nothing
5. I appreciated the extra lessons and advice from staff and teachers about adjusting to the culture here in America because I badly needed it when I just moved here.
6. They provide free breakfast coffee and tea in the mornings.
7. Very convenient location and has a lot of good restaurants and stores around the area. You can basically explore the city after classes
8. They allow the students to use the computer lab if you want to study.
Cons
1. The temperature inside the classroom gets too warm when the class is full and it takes away from the great of the class
2. The admissions counseling area does not provide enough privacy. You can hear and see each other through a transparent partition.
3. Since food around the area is expensive, you may have to bring your own food but make sure that you bring something that does not need to be heated or chilled as they do not a pantry.
4. The library and common area for students to lounge and interact is too small.

Amlotus is one of the better places to improve and enhance your English language skills. Admission staff are very efficient and has extensive experience. Payment plans are flexible and convenient. Teachers are equipped with knowledge and the level of proficiency is highly recommended. They are very attentive with students who needs improvements and tutoring though I personally do not need this extra service. Though my English is already good, I still find the classes very interesting and has a lot of practical applications to daily conversations. Computer lab use is available and space has increased recently after renovation. The only critique I have is, the classroom gets too warm when its full. If your someone who likes to bring food, you will not be able to use a microwave or fridge for they don't have pantry. You might have to develop a thick face and ask the neighboring office for this favor . For those who wants to enroll, be attentive to the course your taking in order to ensure you are attending the right class. Overall, I would recommend this school to my friends and relatives. Hopefully they improve on the cons that I have mentioned here.

I've been studying in this school for a while, the best language school in NY. Unlike other schools, the directors of the school are very professional and willing to help. No matter you are a beginner level or advanced level student, you can find the right course here. Most importantly, the teachers are very high-level, they all have good teaching experiences. Excellent teachers & staff members.Especially DJ, he is one of the BEST teacher ever !!! Usually we have small classes so teachers can help every student and make sure we understand everything. I've made big progress in Amlotus. Amlotus is a great school where I have improved my English through different kind of classes (ESL, TOEFL, listening/speaking, pronunciation) The school is a cozy place, people are nice and friendly here, also the location is very convenient, the heart of New York.I love Amlotus. I highly recommend Amlotus.

So glad I found out about this school. Hands down the best F1 ESL school in Manhattan. The admin, staffs and teachers are very friendly, helpful and informative to the students. They are willing to listen and will do their best to reach out and provide you with excellent education. I couldn't wish to be anywhere else. And they offer FREE BAGELS AND COFFEE too! Can't wait to enroll in TOEFL program next year.
