By far best sushi I've ever had. Locals secret. Been open for 20+years. Have a cousin that is from Seattle and spent 2 months in Japan and agreed that this is the best we've ever had.

We ordered a shrimp skewer for an appetizer and it came out very burnt. We mentioned it to our server and she didn't say a word, barely looked as us as she took it away. She didn't apologize or ask to have it remade. She said to order something else instead. The app we ordered as a replacement was so drenched in sesame oil we couldn't taste anything afterwards. On the other hand, the rolls and sashimi were amazing!!! and the atmosphere and presentation was very nice as well. Over priced but very unique take on Japanese cuisine.

Our apps were horrible, deviled eggs had so much sesame oil im burping it an hour later. Shrimp was burt to hell then I was assured that's how it's cooked(as a chef and server I found that horrible). Payed $80 for 2 people. The rolls we got we're fantastic!!**
Service wasn't great but not our issue, this is my first review for a reason. I am pissed off at how horrible the apps we're, then to be told I don't know how shrimp should be cooked? Great sauce over burt fishy rubber. Would be a better description..

Trendy and lively place to eat good sushi. Not traditional Japanese, but a NOLA twist to this food. Nice place for groups, a date, or a customer. Great drinks and wines to pick from.
