Sound teachings, base on "sola scriptura" , Calvinism and London baptist confession of faith 1689. The church is not influence by the culture or define by the culture or what people think but defined by God's words. So we don't play music or preach in a certain way for people to stay in the church but we play music and preach sermons that convict people, and to think onto Christ who can provide true joy and gratification. Moreover, they do not preach to please the ear. They interpret the bible by letting scripture interpret scripture and not by people's experience, bias or how they feel. They also interpret difficult scripture by clear scripture. For there is only one way to interpret the scriptures. They do not take the verses in the bible out of context or what they want the verse to mean. For example , if Paul says something in Galatians, we do not take a verse in Galatians to mean something else but what Paul actually meant by reading the whole chapter. There is a library, and we study church history. Also, we are influenced by preachers like Charles Spurgeon, Jonathan Edwards, George Whitefield, Peter Masters of Metropolitan Tabernacle in London , John MacArthur, Paul Washer , RC sproul and Voddie Baucham. They don't run up and down and jumping around professing that the holy spirit manifest them and speak in jibberish thinking its tougues of the holy spirit but they believe its an actual language that needs a translator which in 1 Corinthians 14 goes into detail. The women in the church understand that God gave male and female roles like women are to remain slient in the church, women are to work in the home , and male is the head of the house but they underdstand the roles that God gave them, and that don't diminish their value. Furthermore, they don't go to an extreme by saying male is greater than female or women are not allowed to work or have careers at all. God created male and female in the image of God so male and female are of great importance and of great value. Roles, job titles or education levels do not define the value of males or females. So a homeless women is just as important as a male doctor. They value families and kids where they do not demonize them like today's culture do. So the families in the church have people married for 20, 30 to around 40 or more years with the same person which is a rare find in today's culture. The fellowshiping is awesome where we talk about scriptures, problems in society and how we are to bring glory to God alone, " sola de Gloria". Everyone is very welcoming and we don't look down on a person , we dont pretend we are holier than others or we don't think we are more special for they know without Christ we all are totally deprived and desperately wicked and only him alone, nothing else can change that, "solas Christus". WE don't do alter calls, just need to add that in. There is more things I can say about this place but I want to be careful that I don't take scriptures out of context or say anything out of context. So all I can say is visit the church.
