The old guy with the bleached blonde hair is the least personable bartender EVER. I only go here out of convenience when Contois is closed. Overpriced drinks and the food honestly sucks.

Good place to eat and drink. Family friendly atmosphere at lunch. They have been there forever.

Texas Burger... Burger with lettuce, tomatoes, onion rings, Applewood smoked bacon, and a fried egg... uhm! Just uhm! Delicious! And I must say that the shoestring fries are tasty and crispy. The place was empty and quite, but I have heard from others that it gets crowded and noise at times. They have very good service by the way.

Been coming here for years. Always great food and unmatched service. They know you by name and make you feel like family.. The big chain restaurants come and go, but the charm these small New Haven establishments have can never be replaced

Archie Moore's is one of my favorite restaurants and I come here all of the time. I love the food--particularly the happy hour special. Admittedly, my only gripe is that sometimes I eat far too many nachos, and cannot move for many days. It has been problematic, especially when I can't go to work because I am unable to get out of my bed. It has also negatively impacted my relationships, given my grotesque figure after a happy hour feast. Alas, this is the burden I bear, and while I do to perhaps fault Archie Moore's insofar as allowing me to do this to myself, I don't think it's enough of a problem to dissuade other potential customers (unless they are prone to do the same).
Edit: it has come to my attention that the poutine is gone. This is a tragedy.
