Just discovered Anna Liffey's has closed.
Was my favourite place in New Haven, I made sure to come here every time I visited. Good food, good beers, good portions, reasonable prices, good atmosphere, lovely staff. Highly recommended.

This is my favorite Irish pub I've ever been to and the top reason is because of the food. They do such a good job on the traditional Irish pub fare. For example, the shepherd's pie was delicious and full of good quality lamb, fresh peas & carrots, and tasty potatoes. The Irish nachos are great drinking food, too. Atmosphere is great and you can easily forget whether it's light or dark outside if you're down in the cellar. I love this place and would recommend it to anyone and would take out-of-town guests here.
