Utterly fantastic. The 24 month ham appetizer was incredible. Both entrees (trout and pork prime rib) were very tasty. Dessert was the best. We came here for an anniversary dinner and we could not have been more satisfied. One of the best meals I've ever had. Can't recommend Husk enough.

We went on a Thursday afternoon for lunch. The cheeseburger was tasty but the wedges were fried way too hard for our liking. The shrimp and grits were absolutely divine! The actual size and quantity of the shrimp were exactly what I would expect for the price. It was worth it to me. They gave us these fresh baked rolls with a honey and lard butter. I would eat that butter on anything. It was sooooo good!!! Overall we had a very good experience. I wouldn't mind going back to see what else they have to offer. A lot of the menu items start off fine but then as you keep reading they lose you about 4 ingredients in. Some of the dishes are just too "busy" when it comes to the ingredients and the dish descriptions.

The only reason that my review is receiving two stars, not one, is because of our first courses and cocktails. My fiance and I loved Husk in Charleston, SC and were so excited when we found out that there was a Husk in Nashville, TN. We originally heard of the restaurant on an Anthony Bourdain episode and have since watched anything we could on Sean Brock and his creations. However, the experience wasn't anything similar to the amazing experience we had in Charleston. We received our first courses, the oysters and bone marrow, very quickly and they were both great. It took a long time to receive our second course, which I am usually fine with when we are expecting amazing, fresh food. My steak was mediocre, I have had better at a steakhouse chain (which is seriously embarrassing for me to even admit). My greens and beans smelled and tasted like literal throw up. My fiances pork prime rib was tough and tasteless. I would recommend the Charleston location any day, but will never go back to the Nashville location. We were so very excited to have the experience of each individual bite being something new and every ingredient being fresh and bringing something to the plate; this was not the case at the Nashville location.

What an amazing experience, the setting, the staff, and the food are all fantastic. Had lunch with a friend, I ordered the shrimp and grits; utterly fantastic. The shrimp were cooked perfectly, were a nice size and were a perfect compliment to the grits; the seasoning in the grits gave them a deep sensational flavoring. I did get to taste the chicken and it was also great, we were early and I think it might have been just a bit overcooked but still great. My dining companion said the braised cabbage side dish was also great. I had the corn pudding dessert and my friend had the ice cream of the day, the pudding was really good but that ice cream sample I tasted was unbelievable. Highly recommend this dining experience!

The fried chicken I had was Sean Brock's version of Nashville Hot Chicken. A perfect blend of spice and heat. It looked and smelled so good I couldn't wait long enough to take a photo. What stood out was the taste of the chicken itself. One bite is all it took to know this yard bird didn't come out of a grocery store, and this is what Sean Brock and Husk are known for...sourcing the very best product. The grits (ground in house) likewise were amazing an unlike any grits I've ever tasted. The deviled eggs that I did manage to snap a pic if before devouring with smoked trout were magnificent and a combination that would never had occurred to me personally. I only wish I'd been hungrier and could have tried more dishes off the menu.
