AH!! Such an amazing place! The bartenders are on POINT. SUCH a friendly environment. It’ll make you feel at HOME. Top 5 bars/chill spots in Nash, hands down.

I recently visited the bar and restaurant portion of this establishment for a special occasion. Overall- this place is great. The outside bar is wonderful and distinct from other Nashville bars providing a taste of another time. The cocktails are delicious and unique. The cocktail makers are also quite nice.
the restaurant have a very exclusive feel. the atmosphere inside is a continuation of the outside bar but with increased class. A nice touch is that the whole place uses vinyl and will even take some requests- the selection is quite large.
The food presentation and quality of ingredients was excellent. The different dishes each embodied a different taste, often each tasting fantastic. However, there were occasional oversights in quality control- there was a lack of uniformity in cooking various items. For example- i have a single vegetable in one of my dishes- if providing only 1 piece of that vegetable i will pay close attention to it. It was confusing why one side was burnt (not lightly charred) and the other side was uncooked resulting in an overall poor taste.
Each dish was small allowing me to pay close attention to each piece consumed. This is good- however, not good when multiple dishes had 1 component which was not well controlled in quality.
As such, i provide a 4/5 as the the food was generally tasty, cocktails were superb, but lacking uniformity in quality among dishes provided.

In town for a few days and had a bartender from dinner the night before recommend Bastion. We took a shot on walking up for dinner and couldn't get in, but no disappointment because we sat at the bar and had some great cocktails and nachos. The atmosphere was great, as were the bartenders, along with the vinyls playing.

Food is only the beginning. Atmosphere and ambience is 10/10. Josh is talented beyond his age. Walking into the back bar brings on a timeless adventure. With music that takes you back and food that blows your mind, this place will change your culinary mindset on Nashville. A true time-warp into a recent memory.
