I ate here with my dad back in April of 2017. This place holds a special place in my heart as this was the last place I got to take my dad out to eat before he passed away. Great fried oysters and hush puppies.

We live in Milton Fl and enjoy the Big Daddy seafood plate when we go to mobile. It truly can feed 3 people.

Wow what a place!! Place your order and watch them pull it and weigh it out. You sit and then about 30 mins later you are in heaven!! Great taste and so fresh.
We ordered the #6 combo and added a bowl of Gumbo. We took A LOT home....happily. very happy we found Mudbugs and can't wait to go back!

Fresh seafood ! This place is a little different from most. When you walk in, you get into a line to order, whether you intend to eat in or take out. There is a sign at the counter that tells customers to be prepared to wait 15-30 minutes as their food is being freshly prepared, and they mean it, but it's worth the wait. They do not allow call-ahead orders. The food is reasonably priced and the quantities are huge. This is real gulf coast seafood, the way Southerners eat it.

This is hands down the best Seafood in Mobile. At first the prices seems a tiny bit high, but when you see what you get for the money you'll never question their prices again. I'm a big boy and my Wife, daughter and I can easily fill up on a single Shrimp dinner and have leftovers. If you order 2 dinners with a gumbo you have enough food for a weekend. Speaking of the gumbo. The only gumbo that I've had better was the homemade my dad made when I was a kid. Their gumbo is packed with shrimp. They don't go cheap. You literally get shrimp in every bite and it's as tasty as it comes. This is the best place to grab some dinner and take it home for a great date night in.
