This is the best spa I have ever been to! Julianne is super professional and incredibly knowledgeable. My results are always perfect. I will never not go to this spa.

I had a bad outcome with eyelash extensions. I emailed the owner about my concerns and she never responded.
Both times I had the extensions filled the UR, the fill looked great initially. However, over the following weeks it became clear that the lashes were clumped. There were 3-4 extensions attached to one natural lash. This most recent time, the weight of the "clumps" caused significant irritation to the natural lash follicle and one of my eyelids became very red and puffy. I had to have the extensions removed 10 days after Corie filled them.
I've had eyelash extensions for over a year (done by someone in California before I moved to MN). I know how to take care of them and I've never had any problems before. I have also never seen that many extensions attached to one lash. I don't believe that that is how they are supposed to be applied. My fear is that the staff was attempting to work fast but not being careful to protect the health of the natural lash.
It is a bummer because I like the staff and the spa a lot. However, I'm super disappointed with this experience and now have to endure the cost of starting over with a new set of extensions. I'm also disappointed I never heard back from Suzanne.

Just got my eyelashes done by Corie. They look amazing. Great service and the spa is very clean and comfortable. The staff is very nice and has great customer service!

I have been going to Urban Retreat for many years now. Cory does my eyelashes and eyebrows and does an amazing job. I wouldn't think of going anywhere else

I came here for my first ever lip injections because they had really good reviews with a convenient location. When I walked in, I felt great about it - everything was clean, the reception area is decorated beautifully and the owner, Suzanne, was performing my services. She was very personable, educated, and put me immediately at ease. However, since I've had more experience at other locations, I've come to realize that my experience at Urban Retreat was not all that great.
First, Suzanne did not even use the full syringe of Juvederm on me!! Since it was my first time, I thought this was normal, to avoid the dreaded, overdone duck lips.
What I know now: After the swelling goes down, 1 syringe will *barely* give you a little added plump. It is NOT going to make a drastic difference so I'm not sure why I didn't get all of the product that I paid for. As you can imagine - photos from before my appointment and a couple weeks after show literally no change in my lips. Very disappointing!
On top of that, the injections hurt more here than at my current place and I went there wanting Restylane, but was talked into Juvederm (my fault for not sticking to what I'd researched).
The real reason that I won't ever return is that while paying, I asked the front desk receptionist if it's standard to tip.
What I know now: IT IS NOT STANDARD TO TIP at a medspa for these services and shame on those who accept it.
I spent over $800 for Juvederm and 20 units of Botox but that wasn't enough - they accepted an additional $80 cash as a tip for a 20-minute appointment!! Pretty pathetic!
