Lovely place, Excellent for romantic date. Check their website they have musical bands. The outdoor seating remind me of Europe countries.
Food are amazing. My wife and I loves their cakes.
The stuff are super friendly.

Nice convenient restaurant. Located in a grocery store. It would have been cozy if it weren't so cold. The very cold air conditioning made our experience less than pleasing.
The food was tasteful and delicious and the atmosphere was quiet and made it a good place for casual conversation.

Love the outdoor seating. The staff was friendly and enthusiastic, you could tell they were proud of their food. I always love the house salad. Generous portions. Beautiful desserts and the coconut macaroons are perfection.

I absolutely love this area and the aesthetic of the store. The interior is clean and lively and the staff is very friendly. Food is good but not great; it's hard to mess up muffins and pastries. However.. the coffee was subpar at best. The drip coffee was burnt and bitter and the latte that my partner ordered was not steamed correctly (Almond Milk) which shows a lack of knowledge on how to steam all milk types. I will go back, I enjoyed my time.

I ordered the oat cakes with reindeer sausage and it was perfectly decent. My issue with the place isn't with the food or with the staff, but with the overly-cheerful, sickeningly optimistic, "life is grand, God bless us all, and don't forget to smile at a stranger today" interior design theme they seem to have chosen for their restaurant. It's filled with scented candles and "art" prints that were bought at a department store. Is it that hard to track down some local artists and get them to hang some paintings up on the walls? It's as if someone just raided the entire "home decorating" aisle in a K-Mart and stashed it all inside this restaurant for safekeeping. On my quest to locate the toilet, I counted seven of those wall plaques suburban housewives often mistake for real art that say well-intentioned, optimistic things, but are also eerily detached from the real world. You know, the ones that say "Live, Laugh, Love" or "Home is Where the Heart Is" or something like that. Well, the owners of Finnish Bistro apparently opted for consistency, as their Granny Plaques all read the same: "Blessed". Blessed what? Me? The food? This restaurant, or perhaps its employees? Or maybe they just mean that things, in general, are blessed. I can't be sure. Be more specific, please. Anyway, these plaques all reminded me of being in the basement of a stuffy Lutheran church somewhere in Blaine. Not my idea of an appetizing atmosphere, but then maybe I'm not "blessed" enough to see the beauty in ignoring the problems of the world and painting a saccharin scene of mock-utopia for your customers to graze in.
