I found a treasure of a park tucked behind the old Grain Belt Brewery. It has wonderful walking trails, a great view of the Mississippi, beautiful gardens, and an impressive sculpture garden- two of them actually.

It's a pretty spot by the river, and a well done war memorial. It's a little out of the way but a good quick rest spot
