Don't even bother. You will be turned away at the door if you don't fit the definition of "a regular"-- and I've literally lived in the neighborhood for some time. They think they're too cool and indie for some patrons.. even though they're on one of the busiest streets in uptown. Save your time and go to The Bulldog across the street.

Like the food and drink prices are reasonable. Staff is a bit cold. Definitely a typical dive bar.

Irregular semi Dive Bar in the Uptown area of Minneapolis. In the past it was very stuffy as in regulars only type feel but now it's getting less so. It's not my favorite place but that's just my personal test it's quite popular with many different types of folks who like to go here to drink especially until closing time.

Service was good. The bartenders were rushed because of how busy it was, but they did a good job of keeping it together. My only issue was that the bartender serving me assumed that I was buying a drink for a friend of mine that came up behind me. It wasn't that big of a deal to me, but my strong willed independent woman of a friend was a little upset(I think she was trying to hit the tab minimum for her card so that she wouldn't have to order anything else). The bartender was rushing off to serve others before we realized what happened. Not my issue with the place though.
The real issue was how rude the guy working the floor was. Just a bad disposition. Using unnecessarily harsh language when a simple "Patio is closed" would have sufficed. It was almost like he was trying to piss people off at the end of the night. If not for him the rating would be much higher.

Get a good crowd of friends together, and you'll have a great time here. The staff can be a little short with you at times, and the bartenders can rush you at times. However, they'll also make sure you get your drink order in, so you can keep your party going. They take care of you, even if you don't see it that way at the time.
Lots of games around the place if somehow you get bored here, but don't assume you'll have much luck getting into a game of pool since regulars seem to have the tables on location.
