I've learned something about myself recently. For me to really enjoy a restaurant. It helps if the restaurant has, good food, a better than average staff and most importantly be located on some body of water. Sail Loft has all of those. The food was above average, the wait staff was..... average and the location on the Milwaukee river is fantastic. Sail Loft is utilizing this location to its fullest. With tables on the dock, near the dock, walking areas near the water, nicely landscaped areas and even a few sets of bags set up to play. It's a cool place with some of the best clam chowder and mahia street tacos I've ever had. I'm going to cautiously give it 5 stars. Mostly because I'm in a good mood from watching and dreaming of owning one of the 40 ' - 60' motor Yachts that cruise by and dock here at dinner. And I hope the one wait staff was just ever so slightly off the night we were there. If it were closer to our home, I could spend a lot of time at Sail Loft in the summer.

Stopped for cocktails. Wait staff was less than friendly. Drinks were OK. Flourless chocolate cake was great. This place could be so much better if the staff presented a warmer attitude.

Best Philly Cheese Steak ever! Had a great time at the bar! They have this awesome rum called Smooth Sailing, wow! Thanks for an awesome night!

Great outdoors seating on the river. Good place for kids. Good food. Reasonably priced wine and menu.

Beautiful location but need to hire more people-friendly workers. Our server, Alex was nice but she took way too long to come and take our order and then took even longer to give us the bill. We wanted to take a walk along the water while it was still bright out but decided not to after it starting turning dark. Some of the staff walked around like they had no desire to be there that day. The food was just okay. I tried the blackened street tacos. It was spicy, which was good but the rice it came with was very dry. Overall, I probably won't come back but hopefully others try it out for themselves and maybe have much better results.
