This Mexican restaurant was recommended to us by locals while on bacation in the area. It was soood that we went back for a second visit. Authentic mexican food at reasonable prices. The chicken soup and tacos were especially tasty.

Very disappointed in the new place. I read the reviews before i made this because maybe i was being to harsh on the place but they almost all had the same thing to say.
I absolutely loved the old place, we would eat their almost every other week, the staff knew us and they where so friendly the place had a very warm, homie feeling, food was best in town.
The new place is cold, everything is so cramped together, i had waiters butts passing next to my head it was annoying, and the place is cold. Also the menus are confusing, the food took so long to get to us i just asked for it to go and when i got home, its definitely not the same yummy food. I won't be going back.

Not what it used to be.
My girlfriend and I used to go to the old location all the time and we liked the food and atmosphere. Service used to be great and it was a good experience to go.
Not so much the new place:
It was freezing inside and we had to wear jackets while eating breakfast.
There's not much left of the warm welcoming atmosphere it used to be.
We had the grandmother's french toast with eggs and bacon; I was not expecting to get a cut in half cinnamon roll that has not much to do with french toast.
The old staff used to be friendly and fast; isn't really the case anymore:
Servers were sitting at the bar rather than watching their tables.
To wrap it up: Not as great as it used to be, will not be going back.

I loved the old location, the food was amazing. They had one of my favorite chicken fried steaks in town. I was excited to try the new location, out of the three times I have been I was not impressed. I'm not sure if the staff changed completely, or what happened. I'm sad that it's not the same great food. The last time I went a couple of months ago I ordered a chicken fried steak and eggs with hash browns and a biscuit. The biscuit was hard, and my chicken fried steak was so over cooked it was hard to cut. I hope to see better reviews in the future and I may give it another try!

Duck hot wings? Yep. Elkburger? Yep. Elk Chili? Yes indeed. Sweet potato fries? Uh huh. And "stuffed burgers"? Oh yeah. And they have a great wine and beer selection. Seriously this place is way too good for it's location. And that's the only downside, it's a store front and the inside feel a bit too spare. Still, you'll forget about the ambiance one you look at the menu.
