The only thing better than an October Sunday morning in Miami below 80 degrees...is starting the day with a fantastic brunch. Today I was fortunate to have both!
Balans has been my go-to brunch spot in Brickell for years...but something has recently changed this bustling, yet relaxing eatery, from good to great. The servers were more than welcoming and gracious from start to finish. My spinach stuffed omelette came piping hot, the Swiss cheese melted perfectly...and most importantly, with clean flavors. My mimosa was the cherry on top!
Definitely stop in for a nice weekend bite. The menu, while offering many breakfast staples, also has a variety of tasty eclectic creations.

I work onboard the cruise ships and this is my only place on Saturday mornings, seriously i love it!! Staff amazing, fast service and free WiFi so I can upload my reports. Eggs Benedict with crab... thank me later it's Amaze!!

I have smoked shisha from China,Canada,and American and by far this has been the best so far.The music food and shisha I am in a little bit of heaven.I came right after the hurricane that hit Miami and here is a litre but if heaven in the mess.If you you come to Miami I encourage you to Balans you will not be disappointed at all.Thanks guys for a great time.

Amazing food, but horrible service. I was so excited to come and eat here. I felt extremely profiled. Our server Danielle said good morning to the people next to us but she didn't say good morning or anything to us. She just asked "are you guys ready?" With a horrible attitude. She was checking up on them but didn't check up on us.

I had great experiences at this place in the pst but last night my perception changed. Out first server was very pleasant but was going home and we closed out with her to tip her accordingly. The new server was very rude every time he approached the table and to make matters worse, he wanted to charged us for more beers that what we consumed. When I approached him to tell him that he was overcharging us, he became defensive and extremely rude saying that if it was in the bill is because we consumed that. The manager was engage but the attitude was the same, she said that if it was in the bill and the computer, then it was because we consume that and that we were clearly too drunk to remember how much we consumed (I stopped drinking after 4 beers, 3 with the first server and 1 with the new rude server). At the end, the manager decided to take off two beers but we were still being charge for more than what we consumed.
It is not a matter of how much the beers cost but the fact that we were getting charged for additional items that we did not consumed and the attitude from both server and manager towards the situation.
(TO THE OWNER: please provide me with an email address of phone number to reach out to you) I was out of the country and was unable to reply earlier.
