Great chillaxed bar in MB (unlike numerous stuck up bars around) with good beers and a cool-shaped bar. Good music!

Enjoyed the atmosphere but the open smoking, rude bartenders and yelling patrons was a bit too much for my liking. Interesting atmosphere to be apart of but would not go back due to second hand smoke exposure.

There's a lot of history to this place. If smoking indoors bothers you and you're looking for something fancy, look elsewhere. If you're looking for remnants of simpler times, this is a great casual spot.
The "cash only" thing is a bit of a oddity and inconvenience, so make sure to bring or get cash ahead of time.

The last historic dive bar in South Beach. It is great place to visit for cheap drinks and a very social atmosphere. At The Duece a celebrity may be sitting beside a transient at the bar and everyone is treated equally. The bar is illuminated with neon lights contributed by the TV show Miami Vice when they filmed here in the 1980s. It is a "real" Miami Beach experience. The owner of the bar Mac Klein died last year at the age of 101. RIP Mac you created a Miami Beach treasure!
