Love LoKal. Besides the food being great (I love the West Grove BBQ Chicken Salad), LoKal is very dog-friendly, which is always nice. Good beer selection and very friendly and attentive staff. Something else I have noticed is that the patrons seem to be friendlier to each other than in other restaurants.

You guys are seriously kicking ass!! From the atmosphere to the waitress, and bad ass food, you can t go wrong here. Seriously guys a vegan jambalaya!? So delicious! Happy happy customer! Whatever you do make sure you step into the red phone booth.... you won't be disappointed.

They have amazing burgers and a decent selection of beers. Your going to drop a minimum of $15 on a burger though. Parking can be difficult at times in this area and the restaurant is a bit small. They have outside and inside seating. All in all it's a great little spot.

Hostess was a little rude, to start us off. Put 7 people at a table for 4, then said she was trying to accommodate us. Was excited to see alligator on the menu, so I ordered it. That was a mistake, it was not good. The only reason I'm even giving this review 3 stars is because of the black bean burger. My wife said it was the best she has ever had. Food is definitely overpriced. We will not be going back.

Vegetarian review: I had the server-suggested veggie burger which was fantastic. Apparently their veggie jambalaya is also good.
I made my burger in the Miami Heat style with fresh jalapenos added and a mix of sweet potato fries (which are SUPERB!).
Their burgers are huge and filling - you have been warned. That being said, considering keeping space for the adjacent milkshake store to top off your meal.
