THIS COMPANY IS A SHAM!!! BEWARE!!!
On 5/6/2017 I and three friends rented 2 ATV/UTV Show & Ride vehicles from Phoenix Outdoor Adventures located on 1111 N Miller Rd #3, Tempe, AZ 85281. Their on-site customer representative and agent of employment, Dalin Webster, handled the rental transaction for Phoenix Outdoor Adventures. The total rental cost for two vehicles was $722.15, in addition, the merchant required a $2,000 security deposit. I agreed (BIG MISTAKE) put the full amount of $2,722.15 on my Chase Visa Credit Card. Additionally the renters agreed to sign a contract that stated they would be responsible for any damage to the vehicles, and upon viewing the vehicles, signed a "Procedure Check List".
Within minutes of driving one of the vehicles it became evident that the brakes were faulty, the steering pulled left, and the rear wheel of the faulty vehicle was shaky. We immediately returned to the storage shed facility and notified Dalin Webster that one of our two vehicles was damaged. He, after seeing our problem, apologized for the inconvenience saying that he was “sorry”, AND that the damages were “not our fault” and that HE rented us a damaged vehicle. Dalin Webster immediately offered to refund one-third of our rental fee in the amount of $203.97 (we felt we deserved a total refund), in addition he AGREED to refund our security deposit of $2,000.
To ensure that we would receive our "SECURITY DEPOSIT" Dalin Webster, signature signed and dated 5/6/2017, and printed his name on the "Procedure Check List", writing the additional language "Rh Rear grindle (sp) & Brake rotor, damage not caused by Robert Long, will not affect deposit". He created an additional piece of documentation stating that we would be refunded one-third of the rental fee and the $2,000 security deposit.
Phoenix Outdoor Adventures made no dispute as to who was at fault for the damaged vehicle which is exactly why an agent of their employment provided us with multiple pieces of documentation relieving us of any liability incurred through the signing of Phoenix Outdoor Adventures contractual agreement, as we left the rental facility that day. I, tried to call Marshall on Monday May 8th 2017, when I was told by another employee that Marshall handled all refunds, was unavailable at the time, but would return my call. He never did. I tried calling again every day during the week of May 8th, 2017. I continued calling and emailing for three weeks with no response to date.
It is now September 9, 2017. I still have $2,722.15 charged to my Chase Visa Card. I have been getting interest charges stacking up on my credit card. Chase Credit Card Dispute Dept today sent me a COPY of the same "Procedure Check List" submitted to them by Phoenix Outdoor Adventures, except Phoenix Outdoors Adventures took "white out ink" and deleted all the language that Dalin Webster, an agent of his employment, documented in order to intentionally release our liability. The documentation that I submitted to Chase clearly reflects the contract and all paperwork provided by Phoenix Outdoor Adventures before they tampered with and falsified the very same documents to submit to Chase.
Additionally, I would encourage everyone interested in renting ATV vehicles from this company to look at the reviews of Phoenix Outdoor Adventures on Yelp, Trip Advisor and Google Review. You will find that these practices are a well-established pattern of behavior and that security deposits are routinely not refunded by Phoenix Outdoor Adventures. It’s unfortunately an ever so easy way of stealing innocent people’s money. Rent a vehicle, take a $1,000 security deposit, but don’t refund it because you already know it will cost your victim more than $1,000 to go to court, so 99.9% of people won’t bother

Expensive day - don't plan to see your deposit returned without help from your credit card company.
It's their scam, they play the odds that a percentage of renters won't notice they never got the deposit refunded. You won't get it back with out a fight. They need to be put out of business as they are as crooked as it gets.

STAY AWAY! Will not return your deposit. Many broken promises and deadlines . Notified my CC to open a case. Many Many excuses. It's a shame too, because we had planned a for larger trip in October. The experience was great, but the aftermath isn't worth it.

WILL NOT RETURN DEPOSIT!!! If you value your money you will stay away from Phoenix Outdoor Adventures or Full Throttle. Probably had to change names from all the complaints. Rented a UTV, it has now been 4 months no deposit. Called multiple time and kept saying he was going to get to it never did. Had to file claim with credit card company which they disputed. Said machine was damaged. Which it was not. Never said anything like that on the phone the multiple times I called. I am 45 and was with my wife sight seeing. Never drove it hard, but they claim it had a bent spindle and a-arm. If machine was really damaged would that have not been disclosed at the first phone call, or 2nd or 3rd, or 4th...
