Had to go to Nello's as went to Nello's Mesa 2 days before and loved it. So, craving for the pizza and salad we stopped into the Tempe location.
We Watched waiters walk by our table for 5 mins before being asked about drinks. Ordered and when food arrived they'd forgotten our salad. We did get an apology and was told it was taken off the bill, sadly they hadn't put the artichokes on and a tiny amount of dressing. Waited another 2-3 minutes to get the waiters attention and when asked the waiter said that artichokes are not included, Even though it's a franchise the restaurants do vary we were told.
The price is in fact pricier than the Mesa location. Checking at home there were supposed to be artichokes. :(.
Staff were not very enthusiastic, even though there may have been 8 busy tables with 3 waiters it was very difficult to get any attention, decor seemed dated and this was complete opposite to the Mesa location. I think they need to take a page out of their book. Will definitely be going back to Mesa. Guadalupe and Alma School!!!

Had to stop at a store near here and decided to get some food because this place has always had delicious food. I think this was the first time I'd ever eaten here rather than had food delivered though.
The atmosphere is chill. That's word perfectly describes the atmosphere. Laid back and casual. Totally unpretentious and you can feel totally comfortable here.
The service was amazing. I am as by myself since I didn't anticipate stopping to eat anyway. The server checked on me every two minutes it seemed like. He didn't actually stop to ask of everything was okay each time, but you could see him peaking his head around to make sure my drink was full and I wasn't waving him down. It was a Tuesday, so he was the only server (I think), and even still he wasn't very busy. But I feel like the service would have been the same or he would have made the same effort on a Friday or Saturday. It was just overall great service. I got my food in under 10 min and he even offered the wifi password because I was on my phone (again, I was dining alone so my phone was my company).
I definitely recommend dining in if you're near by.

Some of the best pizza I have ever had from takeout/delivery. The crust was more of a pan style, tasted great, and all the toppings and sauce were in just the right proportions. The only downside is the small sizes and higher prices compared to the normal delivery places.

We used to LOVE this local pizza eatery: wonderful pizza, good ambiance, etc. While we still like the food, the service has gone from good to TERRIBLE: In the past year, our takeout order has been wrong (THREE times: "no onions!" - AND we get EXTRA onions), missing items (no salad dressing), or misplaced ("no, we never received that order) EVERY TIME. Service the last two times we ate in has been slow, sloppy (messed up order) and/or indifferent. Last night was the last straw: waited 5 minutes to be noticed to get seated; waited at the table for over 10 minutes without having even a drink order taken, and then after we asked someone at the bar, and were told "someone will be right with you," we waited another 5 minutes with no service. And they just shrugged and did not even apologize when we left in annoyance and frustration. We're done! too bad we can't give negative stars.

Nello's is pretty awesome. I hadn't been there since I was like 14 years old. 16 years later, I went in and still remembered what I had last time. The Alaskan King pizza. And it was better than I remembered. So it leaves a lasting impression. Give it a try.
