After reading these reviews, I was completely and totally nervous about taking my son, 13, in to have a molar extracted. I was so worked up that I made my husband come with us and I was going to demand that he go in with my son during the extraction. Dr. Younce immediately found something to connect with my son about and they were chatting away. My son walked off with the doctor and the nurse and never looked back at us. Everything went perfectly and my son was out quickly. I definitely recommend Dr. Younce and his staff. The bad reviews on here are obviously not the norm.

I was referred by the St. Luke's Emergency Room in Meridian to come see Younce as a follow-up exam. The St. Luke's hospital sent photos of my mouth to Mr. Younce, and he said that he specifically wanted to see me to make sure that everything was healing. While making an appointment, I told the receptionist "Deb" that this was a worker's comp claim. When I tried to explain to her again before my appointment that it was a worker's comp claim, she refused to believe that I called beforehand and told her that this was the case, simply because she decided not to take down any note as to state that it was indeed a workers comp issue... even though I remembered her name from the phone call. After an HOUR of waiting... I was told that I needed to sign a "Financial Agreement" form. This form stated that I was solely responsible for paying for any treatment, when AGAIN it was a workers comp claim!! When trying to explain to Deb that I didn't feel comfortable signing this and that I had questions as to what the form entailed, she interrupted me in the middle of my sentence, assuming she knew what I was going to say. During my hour of waiting, the receptionist made a total of THREE personal calls, which I found was extremely unprofessional. I also overheard their conversation with a patient, explaining that he would need to pay a total of $2,000 for a HOLE in his mouth. After waiting over an hour, I informed "Deb" that I do not feel comfortable in signing this form, and that I had my workers comp claim number, as well as policy number, and they were completely uninterested in seeing the information!! "Deb" decided to go get Dr. Younce, and then informed me that he was "with a patient" and asked me to wait even longer. I sat there for 15 more minutes, as Deb decided to go back and check to see if Dr. Younce was through. She came back and said "I'm sorry, but Dr. Younce says he isn't able to see you unless you sign the financial agreement." I was livid. After all of this waiting, Dr. Younce couldn't even come out to the lobby to talk to me and hear my case, yet he simply tells the receptionist to turn me away.
I decided to contact my previous doctor; Dr. Michael Debell who removed my wisdom teeth, and he was able to get me in, and document it as a follow-up visit, so he didn't charge me a thing. I will NOT be back.

Professional, warm and friendly staff and dr. I made sure my daughter Knew that she would be strapped to chair so she wouldn't roll off, while having her wisdom teeth pulled. -Because she would be asleep, and she has anxiety problems. She was fine. No problems. They took very good care of her and her older sister. Would go back to Dr. Younce if needed to.

I have total confidence in Dr. Younce and his staff. He has a very nice and clean office and the entire team is courteous and professional. Through the years he has provided excellent treatment for my wife, two children, my father, and soon he will be removing my granddaughters wisdom teeth. I recommend Dr. Younce to everyone without reservation.
