Good local beer selection. Went for happy hour. The details of said happy hour are only found on a sign in front of the restaurant or from the waiter. $2 drafts and $3 wells/wines. $5 food apps. They are the ones on the menu with a finger pointed at them. The non-happy hour seemed pricy (hence the $$$ on Google maps). $16 for fish&chips, $14 for a standard burger, etc... Walked inside for a moment just to check it out and immediately went back to sit outside. Was dark, dingy and smelled of old cigarettes. Outside was a much better atmosphere. Service was quick even though there was one server for 7 tables outside. Ordered the spinach dip. Very tasty. Finished almost a whole beer before it arrived. $2 beers are worth it for sure!

I was in Memphis on business due to Hurricane Irma heading to Florida and I'm glad I found the Local Gastropub. A co-worker and I visited on Saturday around noon and were so happy with the food, service, and atmosphere that we came back on Tuesday with another co-worker. The short rib tacos I had were amazing (the co-worker that had them on Tuesday loved them as well). The menu has a nice variety of appetizers, sandwiches/burgers, salads, and entrees all of which use quality ingredients. It was difficult to choose what to order on both visits as everything sounded good. We were not disappointed by anything we ordered to eat. The Local has a good selection of local beers and other drinks as well as daily specials. The bartender on Saturday (Sonya) and our server on Tuesday (Morgan) were excellent. If I make it back to Memphis I will definitely be visiting the Local Gastropub again.

The food is just misleading thought the chicken and chips would be strips it's one large breast. I originally order the buffalo chicken gnocchi , it was horrible and the presentation did not help! Happy hour and the waiter was the best thing about this place.

This place was hopping on a Sunday night. Great atmosphere. The service and drinks were great.
